Patricia Ann Butschky, 78, of Arnold, MD, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 of natural causes.

Patricia was born on March 20, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland. She was raised in Curtis Bay.

Patricia loved trips to Ocean City, MD (especially Saturday night visits to Lombardi's), gardening and bowling.  In fact, she coached youth bowling for many years at Severna Park Lanes and was the secretary of her duckpin bowling league for decades. Her teammates referred to her as "a lovely woman who will be greatly missed".  Pat also loved to shop.  On any given week, you could find her at the mall.  She was easy to spot.  Hip huggers, Go Go boots and probably sporting a great tan from the beach.

The only thing that Pat enjoyed more than shopping was her family.  She put them first, always.  She never let the hardship of her failing health prevent her from being happy and loving to others until the very end.  She would even call to sing happy birthday to them, every year, well into their 50's.  It is fitting that she was delivered to heaven on Mother's Day because her children describe her as simply the best mom… Ever!

Patricia is survived by; her loving husband of 59 years, John Butschky; her daughter Julie Swain; her sons, Douglas Butschky and Kevin Butschky; her brother, Al Brewer; and 10 grandchildren varying in ages from 4 to 29 with the older ones having spread their wings over 4 different states to attend/graduate college.  They all recall fondly playing Bingo with "Ma Bucky".  The winner would be handed the "Bingo Box" where they could choose their prize from candy bars to toys to coloring books.  She would even turn waiting for the toast to pop out of the toaster into a game for them.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, May 18 ^th from 3-5pm and 7-9pm at Barranco and Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146.  Graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 19th at 10:30am at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 7231 Ritchie Hwy, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
