Pasquale (Pat) Ralph Savignano, of Severna Park, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Ralph and Jennie Savignano in Brooklyn, NY on April 8, 1930. He was raised in Brooklyn and lived in Queens, NY, Dingman Ferry, PA and Columbia, MD before coming to Severna Park. Pat joined the U.S. Army in 1951 and served during the Korean War in Bremerhaven, Germany. He left the Army in 1953 and served in the Army Reserve for 8 years.
He worked as a railway clerk for the Long Island Railroad for over 35 years until his retirement. After his retirement, Pat built his own home in the mountains of Pennsylvania. He loved and collected all things railroad related and all things Disney. He also enjoyed DIY home improvement projects, collecting stamps and doing table puzzles.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Amelia "Amy" Savignano; his sister Agatha Truglio; his niece, Janet Quirk; and his step-grandson, Dennis Roche. He is survived by his beloved second wife, Maria Theresa Greenwell (nee Giamanco); his step-children H. Frank "Corky" (Vera) Greenwell of Annapolis, MD, Douglas (Rebecca) Greenwell of Annapolis, MD, Amanda (Gary) Roche of Huntingtown, MD, Stuart (Tamara) Greenwell of Baltimore, MD, Stephen (Barbara) Greenwell of Interlaken, NJ; step-grandchildren Renee (Richard) Dunn, Michael (Giannina) Roche, and John Greenwell; his nephew Tom Quirk and grandnieces Caitlin (Bernard) Hartog, and Megan (Zahi) Jurdi; and his goddaughter Lucille Spataro; as well as many other nieces and nephews, and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 1:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD, 21146. His burial will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 1:00pm at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA.
