Oren Edward Craig, 79, a resident of Crofton, died on November 20, 2008, at Crofton Convalescent Home, due to complications from Alzheimer's.
He was born January 26, 1929 in New Boston, Ohio.
He lived in Crofton for the past 3 years and Kent Island for over 20 years and in the Glen Burnie area for 33 years. He married his wife, Ingeborg on August 19, 1949.
Mr. Craig is a retired General Foreman Model Maker for David Taylor & Research Development Center.
He served in the U.S. Army 1947-1949. He was a member of Severna Park Elks, a former Exalted Ruler, and a member of National Camper & Hikers Association.
He loved camping and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Ingeborg M. Craig of Crofton, MD; his daughters, Ruth Paula Gemmill in Millsboro, DE and Karen Kirkpatrick of Crofton, MD; and one grandchild, Shaunna Kirkpatrick.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, November 23 from 2-4 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Highway in Severna Park, MD.
Funeral Services and Interment will be private.
