OBITUARY
Nona Shaver Sohn, 83, of Severna Park, died of heart failure at the University of Maryland Hospital on January 4, 2008.
Born in Mathias, WV on February 14, 1924 and reared in Catonsville and Linthicum, Mrs. Sohn attended the University of Maryland and Catholic University in Washington, DC. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Edward Sohn.
In June, 1973 she retired as a Librarian with the National Security Agency after 26 years of service. She enjoyed traveling and had duty in the Far East and European theater as part of her assignments.
A resident of Langley Park from 1943 to 1957, she then resided in Linthicum from 1957 to 1991 and subsequently moved to Severna Park. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Kent Island Yacht Club, Bodkin Yacht Club, Patapsco River Squadron and active in the Lower Magothy Community Association. She was a Charter Member of the Friendship Church of the Brethren in Linthicum and continued her membership and support throughout her many years. She loved boating and enjoyed sports and her treasured "Gardenia Garden".
Surviving is her brother William B. Shaver of Severna Park.

It has been requested that memorial contributions be made to the Friendship Church of
the Brethren, 217 Mansion Road, Linthicum, MD 21090.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday 2-4pm and 6-8pm.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday 11am.
