Nevis "NeeNee" T. Garriques (nee Palmer), 94, a resident of Towson, died on April 24, 2010 at Marley Neck Health & Rehabilitation Center in Glen Burnie.
She was born July 17, 1915 in Baltimore, where she was raised, and lived in Towson. Nevis graduated from Forest Park High School in the Pimlico area. She previously lived at HeartHomes of Pasadena before residing at Marley Neck Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Nevis was a nanny until age 89 and played piano at the Club House on Park Avenue.
She loved spending time with her family and friends, enjoyed housekeeping and cooking, and making holiday gifts for nursing homes.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Valerie & George Lambros of Timonium, Judy & Pat LaBarre of Fenwick, DE, Myrna & Ron LaBarre of Glen Burnie; her son, John (Jay) Garriques of Melbourne, FL; eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, April 27 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy, 21146. A Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie.
