Neil Lorents Hendry, 64, longtime resident of Severna Park, died peacefully April 23 at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Linthicum.
Neil was born December 28, 1948 in Arlington, Virginia. He was the son of Charles and Anna Hendry, and part of a military family, along with brothers, Chuck and Rob Hendry, who also reside in Maryland.
Neil worked as a construction superintendent for various companies for many years, and had been in the construction field his whole life. No matter what the job, he was recognized for his work ethic, and his devotion to his family. With an appreciation for Maryland's wildlife and the bay, he enjoyed fishing and crabbing trips on his boat.
Neil is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Elke Hendry; his 19 year old daughter, Kaitlin Hendry; sister-in-law, Paula Hendry; mother- and father-in-law, Maria and Kenneth Harland; and brother-in-law, Karl Arndt.
Friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 26, at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, in the Funeral Home chapel.
