Neil Peter Hansen, 71, of Annapolis, Maryland passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 3, 2021.

Neil was a devoted father, husband, and grandfather. Neil served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He joined the Anne Arundel County Fire Department in 1976, retiring in 1998 as a Lieutenant firefighter. He was a longtime member of the Eastport Yacht Club, serving on several committees, and will be dearly missed by his fellow members. Neil was an avid skier who also enjoyed boating, dancing, golfing, and travels to the Caribbean.

Neil is survived by his loving wife Patricia Lang, his children Dane Hansen (Susana), Danika Finlayson (Nick), and Daniel Hansen, his stepchildren Robbie Lang (Alyson), Jessica Lang, and Ryan Lang, and grandchildren Ryker and Soren Hansen and Kendall and Connor Finlayson.

A Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday June 12, 2021 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Neil's name to Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, where he received his compassionate end-of-life care.
