Naomi "Eileen" Fitchet passed away on January 8, 2024 after an extended illness. Born on January 5, 1948 to the late Richard M. and Mary Jane Vaden she was raised in Severna Park and graduated from Severna Park High School. On June 2, 1973 she married Charles B. Fitchet and enjoyed the life of a Navy wife and beyond until his passing after 50 years of marriage. Eileen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She cherished family and friends and was always planning the next party or family gathering. She loved Cruises, her annual Christmas Eve Open House and the annual trip to the Army Navy game. She was also a longtime member of the Severna Park Elks Lodge #2482, volunteering frequently to help with or host Lodge dinners and other events.

Eileen is survived by son Tim Fitchet (Stacey) and daughter Jennifer Stevens (Duke), granddaughters Abigail Fitchet, Miley Fitchet, Taylor Fitchet, Mallory Fitchet and grandson Kyle Stevens. She is also survived by her sister, Rita Gair and two brothers Richard M. Vaden Jr. (Bev) and Kenneth Vaden along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and close family members. She is preceded in death by her parents Richard M. Vaden Sr and Mary Jane Vaden, husband Charles B. Fitchet, Capt. USN Retired, and son Charles Baxter Wood Fitchet.

Family and friends may visit from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday January 22nd at Barranco Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park MD 21146. Her funeral service will be held the following morning, Tuesday January 23rd,  at 9:30 am at Barranco Funeral Home with burial to follow at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd Crownsville MD 21032. Following the burial there will be a reception at the Severna Park Elks Lodge.
