IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nancy J.
Minton
January 10, 1946 – July 27, 2025
Nancy J. Minton, a resident of Bridgeville, DE, passed away on July 27, 2025. She was born on January 10, 1946, to Mary Jayne and Melvin Knouse of Altoona, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Smithfield High School in Ohio.
She met her husband, Douglas O. Minton at a disco in 1969, married shortly after and the rest was history. After years of traveling and living overseas, they settled in the Cape St. Claire community in Annapolis, Maryland, where they raised their family.
She dedicated her life to her family and to walking faithfully with God. She took great pride in her career at ARINC in Annapolis and served her church community with devotion, holding many roles over the years.
She retired to Heritage Shores in Bridgeville, DE where she enjoyed the horse farm, swimming, shopping, scrapbooking, her many friends and hosting family.
At the time of her passing, she was survived by her husband Douglas of 55 years, who passed away ten days later.
She is survived by her sons, Jason Minton of Brownsboro, Alabama, and Todd (Claire) Minton of Severna Park, Maryland, as well as her many beloved grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Justine (Gary) Helt of Smithfield, Ohio, and Dawn (Honre) Deveaux of Ladson, South Carolina, and she held dear Paul Minton of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, and his family — all very important in her life. She was so loved by her horses Max, Rocky, and Ringo, her cats, and her cherished grand-dogs.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a church of your choosing in Nancy's name.
