Nancy C. Kaehler, 79, a longtime resident of Severna Park and most recently of Odenton,
passed away on October 20, 2010 at Mandrin Hospice House.
Nancy was born to her parents, Thomas and Evelyn Cosden on June 30, 1931. She was raised in Baltimore prior to moving to Severna Park at the age of nine. Nancy graduated from Annapolis High School and was later employed as a secretary with the Board of Education. Mrs. Kaehler then stayed home to raise her children. She returned to the workforce as a secretary for the Association of Independent Maryland Schools (AIMS).
Mrs. Kaehler was an active member of Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the church choir. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitch, and spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Kaehler is survived by her son, Thomas Kaehler (Arlene); her daughter, Barbara Tiffany; her granddaughters, Kelly and Molly; four great grandchildren; her brother, Thomas Cosden and her sister, Margaret Moreland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Kaehler in 1993.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-9pm. A funeral service will be held at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church 611 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd. Severna Park, MD 21146 on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 2:00pm. A private interment will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Park on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church.
