Nancy M. Parrish Huff, 71, a thirty-six year resident of Pasadena, MD, died on August 5, 2011 at Harbor Hospital Center in Baltimore, due to complications of surgery.
Nancy was born to her parents, Walter A. Parrish, Sr. and Mary A. (Scott) Parrish on May 30, 1940 in Baltimore, MD, where she was raised. She grew up in Severna Park, graduating from Glen Burnie High School in 1958. Following high school, Nancy attended Lutheran Hospital of Nursing, where she graduated in 1961. She was employed as a Public Health Nurse for Anne Arundel County for over 30 years.
Mrs. Huff was a member of many organizations and clubs including the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Lutheran Hospital Alumnae Association, the Maryland Nurses Association, the Maryland Foundation of Nurses, and the Maryland Yacht Club. She enjoyed gardening, reading, going to the movies, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Huff is survived by her daughter, Nancy Nicklow married to Jerry Nicklow of Pasadena; her grandchildren, Allie and Dalton Nicklow also of Pasadena; her brothers, Walter A. Parrish, Jr. of Glen Burnie and Richard Parrish of Pasadena; as well as, her stepchildren, Michael Huff of Glen Burnie, Deborah Williams of Annapolis, and David Huff of Pasadena. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, W. Ray Huff in August of 2007.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, August 10th at the Harundale Presbyterian Church, 1020 Eastway, Glen Burnie, MD 21060 with the interment to follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
