Nancy Luette Gould died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday morning, October 2, 2011. She was 72.
Born on March 9, 1939 to Henry and Erna Engroff of Baltimore, MD, Nancy grew up in Catonsville and Towson. A graduate of Towson High school and Hood College, Nancy married her high school sweetheart , Michael Gould, in 1962. Working to put her husband through medical school, she taught Biology at Dundalk High School for four years before giving birth to her son Bill who is severely handicapped. In 1972 Nancy gave birth to her daughter Kristin. Along with her husband, Nancy was instrumental in the development of Star Community, a Christian based home for severely mentally and physically handicapped adults in Hagerstown, MD. For over 25 years she was a leader and teacher of Bible Study Fellowship, International. After moving from Cockeysville to Severna Park in 1995, Nancy was an active member at Severna Park Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dr. Michael Gould of Severna Park, her brother Richard Engroff and his wife Peggy of Patton, ME, her son Bill of Star Community, Hagerstown, MD, her daughter Kristin Drake and her husband David and four granddaughters, Keating, Gracen, Annie, and Storie of Baltimore, MD.
Friends and Family may visit on Saturday October 8, 2011 from 2-5:00pm. Services will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday October 9, 2011 at the Severna Park Evangelical Presbyterian Church 114 Ritchie Highway Pasadena, MD 21122.
