Myra Kay Toomey, 68, of Severna Park, died of a cerebral hemorrhage March 23 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a two-day illness.
Mrs. Toomey was born June 25, 1936, and reared in Warwick, N.Y., and graduated from Warwick High School in 1954. She lived in Akron and Westerville, Ohio, New York City and Philadelphia and Easton, Pa.
She was a homemaker who also worked as a dental and administrative assistant.
Mrs. Toomey was a member of the Anne Arundel Medical Center Auxiliary and enjoyed travel and gardening.
Surviving are her husband, William Joseph Toomey; one daughter, Kathleen Gartner of Severna Park; one son, Michael William Toomey of Fairfield, Pa.; and two granddaughters.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. A memorial Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. Burial is private.
