Mildred Geren Seybold, 93, a resident of Severna Park, died on September 21, 2009 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Severna Park.
She was born on November 8, 1915 in Columbus, Ohio, where she was raised. She graduated from Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, and married in 1937 to Leo Seybold of Mansfield, OH, also a graduate of Ohio State. They raised their family in Western Springs, IL and resided in Bethesda, MD from 1957-2004. Mildred moved to Sunrise of Severna Park in 2004 upon the death of her husband. The couple supported numerous charities during their 67 year marriage.
Mrs. Seybold was a member of the League of Women Voters and the Women's Club of Chevy Chase, MD. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, was a talented painter, and philanthropist.
Mrs. Seybold was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Seybold, who died on September 6, 2004.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Seybold Crawford of Severna Park, MD; a son, Russell Geren Seybold of North Conway, NH; two granddaughters, Tricia Lee Seybold of Tafton, PA and Danica Crittenden of Glen Burnie, MD; one grandson, Paul Russell Seybold of Salt Lake City, UT; and two great grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the Westmoreland United Church of Christ in Bethesda, MD.
