Michael John Kick of Annapolis, Maryland, passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 60.

Michael was born on January 24, 1963, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Dennis John Kick and Catherine Fay (Krajewski) Nason. He attended St. Andrew By the Bay Catholic Church. Michael was raised in Baltimore County and attended Chase Elementary, Middle River Middle School, Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School. Michael then went on to attend Embry Riddle Aeronautic University and received his bachelor's degree.

He joined the U.S. Air Force on October 28, 1981, as an Airplane Mechanic. Seven years later, he married his wife, Donna Schaefer-Kick on September 17, 1988. He had several residences to include, Chase, Maryland; Anderson AFB in Guam; Dover AFB in Delaware; Homestead AFB in Florida; Andrews AFB in Maryland; and their most current residence of Annapolis, Maryland. Michael served in the Air Force until October 31, 2002, and retired with 21 years of service. He then went on to work for Amentum.

Michael enjoyed racket ball, basketball, lifting weights, jogging, making models, and was a history buff.

Michael is survived by his wife, Donna Schaefer-Kick; daughter, Helene Kick; son, Michael Kick, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Stormy Kick; grandson, Jeffery Long; brother, Jeff Kick; brother-in-law, Kyle Conway; brother, Donald Kick; sister-in-law, Tiffany Kick; brother-in-law, Jerome Schaefer; sister-in-law, Kimberly Schaefer; mother-in-law, Helene Schaefer; and his parents Dennis Kick and Catherine Nason.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., at 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, Maryland 21146.

A Mass service will be held on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023, at 11am at St. Andrew By the Bay, located at 701 College Parkway, Annapolis, Maryland, 21409. Military Honors will be immediately following the service.

A reception will be held in the church hall directly following the Military Honors.
