Michael L. Freitag, 64, of Arnold MD, son of the late Irwin and Bernardine Freitag, died November 21st, 2013 at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is survived by his wife Linda Lebling Freitag, three children Gregory (wife Tasha), Molly (husband Richard) and Sean (fiancée Liz), and three grandchildren Patrick, Charlotte and Lauren. He is also survived by his 6 siblings (Joe, David, Richard, Janet, Sara & Bill) and their families.

Mike was respected for his exceptional ability to communicate and bring people together. He was passionate about coaching youth sports and his creative spirit was admired by many. He enjoyed mentoring students as a co-moderator of the Severn School/USNA FIRST- Robotics Club (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology).

He began his career as a Chemical Engineer and held corporate positions as a Quality Coordinator & Trainer. He later became a high school math teacher and tutor. Most recently he was a commercial real estate research associate.

A Memorial Gathering will be held Sunday, Dec 1st from 1pm-4pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Dec 2nd at 11am at St. Andrew by The Bay Church in Annapolis. Interment will be private.
