Michael Paul Ferrara was a man of many talents. A singer, a dancer, a leather maker, a plumber, a tiler, a salesman, a traveler. But he was also a brother, a son, a father and a grandfather. Michael was a man who enjoyed his life to the fullest. He was not shy to speak his mind. Michael spent his childhood in Baltimore Maryland where he was born on August 4th 1946 to Joseph Paul Ferrara and Laura Ferrara. He had 2 brothers Jerome Ferrara and David Ferrara.

Michael led a life doing things he loved. His love of music led him to dance on the Buddy Deane Show as a teenager. His love of adventure led him to try many different trades, from lead singer in his band Sawbuck in the 60s, leather making in the mountains of California, to DJing in the 80s back in Maryland where he met his former wife, Rosa Lawer, and eventually he started his own home improvement business.

His love of family led him to settle in Maryland and to have 5 children (Gabriella, Laura, Alexandra, Nicholas, and Matthew). Michael never revisited the adventure of marriage after his divorce but he continued his adventures with his children. Their childhood was filled with road trips to different states, especially the ocean. Michael loved the ocean, fishing, and reading about pirates and the life below the sea. He also loved to read in general. As Michael got older, reading was Michael's way to continue his adventures. He enjoyed reading Lord of the Rings and fantasy novels. Michael was also a grandfather. A "Pop Pop" to 6 grandchildren (Caleb, Sebastian, Ashton, Aspen, Silas, and Theo). He loved his grandchildren and sharing adventures with them to the zoo, the aquarium, state fair, etc.

Michael passed away on January 31st 2024 leaving behind a never ending wealth of stories for his friends and family to share about his life. He taught us to always live life to the fullest. He will forever be loved and remembered by his friends and family.
