Danko
March 20, 1970 – January 24, 2025
It is with love and remembrance that we honor the life of Michael Christopher Danko, born on March 20, 1970, in Princeton, NJ.
Michael, a loving husband, devoted son, and brother, caring stepfather and uncle, Best Dog Dad, and loyal friend to so many, passed away on January 24, 2025. Leaving behind a legacy of kindness and dedication to those he cherished.
Danko, as he was affectionately known by many, enjoyed boating on The Chesapeake Bay and spending time at his family's cabin in the mountains of West VA. He was passionate about his Infiniti Q50 Red Sport, enjoyed racing, and was well-respected in that community. He could fix anything! He enjoyed a successful career as an IT professional with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid.
He is survived by his beloved wife Shannon, stepchildren Micala & Jordan Anderson, his parents Jack & Judy Danko, sister Allison Thompson, niece Emily Thompson, nephew Jacob Thompson, his devoted Golden Retriever Ellie, and countless friends whose lives he touched with his quick wit, genuine care, and unwavering loyalty.
As a husband, Michael showed a love and devotion that was boundless, a love that will live in my heart forever.
As a son, he was a devoted pillar of love and respect to his parents. Ensuring that his bond with them remained strong throughout his life.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we are comforted by the love Michael shared with so many and the profound effect he had on all of our lives. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Rest peacefully, Michael.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael's name to BARCS, Baltimore, MD. Honoring his compassionate spirit and love for animals.
