Michael John Birchfield, 55, a resident of Stevensville, MD died on May 21, 2011.

He was born on August 26, 1955 in Baltimore, raised in Brooklyn Park and graduated from Brooklyn Park High School. Past residences include Glen Burnie and Chester, MD.

Michael was previously employed with Johns Roofing Company and currently worked with Wilhelm Construction.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Glen Burnie Gun Club and Corkers Creek Hunting Club.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, cooking out, spending time with grandkids, and Nascar.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Lynn Birchfield of Stevensville, two daughters, Crystal Lynn Birchfield of Stevensville and Lisa Marie Birchfield of Chester; step-daughter Candi Lynn Weir of New Holland, PA; eight grandchildren, Jasmin Nicole Reid of Stevensville, Kevin Christopher Reid of Stevensville, Jenna Leigh Cook of Stevensville, Anthony Michael Thomas of Chester, Christian John William Thompson, Jr. of Chester, Mckenzie Michelle Thompson of Chester, Corey Michael Weir of New Holland, PA, and Sarah Ann Weir of New Holland, PA.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday , June 1 , 2011 from 2-4:00pm & 6-8:00pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. Services and interment will be in Birchfield Cemetery in Lester, WV. On Wednesday June 8, 2011,
