Michael Adam, beloved father of Andreas Adam of Severn, and Marcus Adam of Severna Park, died suddenly on June 25, 2014 at the age of 50 years, in Los Alamos, New Mexico, while traveling on business. Michael , a resident of Severn, MD for the past five years, was born on July 31, 1963 in Thessaloniki, Greece, where he was raised by his loving mother, Areti Bekiari. He is also survived by his sister, Eva Adam, of Thessaloniki, Greece, his aunt, Maria Barberidis and his uncle, Christodoulos Bekiaris.

Michael also has lived in Princeton, Hammonton and Philadelphia before moving to Maryland. Michael earned his Master's Degree in Chemistry and Material Engineering, and most recently was working toward his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering. He was employed as an Engineer and Analyst with the Federal Government. He enjoyed watching soccer and learning history. Most of all, he loved spending time with his sons. He was preceded in death by his father, Triantafilos Adam.

Friends may visit on Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 5-8:00 pm at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday July 7, 2014 at St. Demetrios Church, 2504 Cub Hill Road, Parkville, MD 21234, where the interment will follow. Flower may be sent to the funeral home.
