Melvin Samuel Lissau, Jr., (74) a lifelong resident of Severna Park, passed away of natural causes on September 9, 2025. He was born on July 26, 1951, in Baltimore, MD to Melvin and Dorothy (neé Marquess) Lissau.

Melvin graduated from Severna Park Elementary, Middle, and High School. He was in the Class of 1969 at Severna Park High School and was on the cross-country team. After high school, Melvin joined the U. S. Marine Corps. Melvin was an avid swimmer and enjoyed following the areas sports teams, including the Baltimore Ravens, The Baltimore Orioles, Maryland Terrapins, and the Naval Academy teams.

Melvin is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael S. Lissau, and his sister Donna M. Lissau.

He is survived by his brother, Donald Lissau, of Clearwater, FL.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
