Melvin Gerald Ackerman
Melvin Gerald Ackerman, 68, of Glen Burnie, MD died at Prince George's Hospital Center on August 13, 2008 due to complications of a motorcycle accident which occurred on July 14, 2008.
Mr. Ackerman was born on January 3, 1940 in Baltimore, MD and was raised in Pasadena, MD. He was an insurance agent for Bay Area Insurance Group and a real estate broker for Bay Area and Associates Realty. He enjoyed yachting, watching car races, and racing cars. He was a member of Bay Area Community Church.
Mr. Ackerman is survived by his wife, Patricia M. Ackerman of Pasadena, MD; a daughter, Lisa Lynn Ackerman of Seaford, DE; stepsons, Eric F. Stengel of Arnold, MD, Bryan S. Stengel of Raleigh, NC, Dennis Johnson and James A. Johnson both of Gambrills, MD; stepdaughters, Tina M. Johnson of Millersville, MD, Brenda L. Bruce, Lisa A. Allen, and Kerrie G. Calloway all of Pasadena, MD; brothers, Tim Ackerman of Millersville, MD and Michael Ackerman of Glen Burnie, MD and 19 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday at Broadneck Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Arnold, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. Online condolences may be made at www.barrancofuneralhome.com.
