IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Megan L.
Pugh
May 31, 1979 – February 19, 2024
Megan Lee Hughes Pugh was born May 31, 1979, in Kansas City, Missouri to Richard (Dick) and Dian Hughes.
Megan's favorite quote was "You ARE MY SUNSHINE"….☀️ not realizing she was actually "the sunshine" in so many of our lives. If you had asked Megan, she would have told you, without a doubt, RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS DAY..…. should have been a National Holiday.
Megan started her professional career in commercial real estate in 2001 with Bozzuto Management Company. In her tenure, she oversaw numerous apartment communities including Bayberry, The Munsey, The Promenade, Centerpoint and The Fitzgerald. She moved to a corporate role in the Marketing Department but returned to operations, her true love, in 2013 as a Portfolio Manager overseeing numerous projects in the DMV. In 2016, Megan partnered with Keith Gillan and Chris Murn and founded Murn Management. Megan was instrumental in the evolution of the company that grew from one project with a 193 apartment homes to an organization today that operates 30 communities and nearly 8,000 apartment homes. The company's kind, caring and thoughtful approach to customers, partners and employees was inspired by Megan's caring and loving nature.
Megan is survived by her sons, Mason and Brody. Megan was so proud of her boys and was their silent protector, always. They brought fun into her life and gave her life purpose. Also, surviving are Megan's mother, Dian Hughes, and sister Erin Hughes. Megan leaves her partner in life Keith Gillan, who shared her happiest days.
In honor of Megan, our family would like to ask every person who reads this obituary to perform two Random Acts of Kindness in memory of Megan.
A Memorial Visitation for family and friends will be held at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. on Tuesday, February 27th from 4-7pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 28th at 10am at the Severna Park United Methodist Church.
