Mavis G. Stinus, 55, a 14 year resident of Arnold, MD died on November 11 at the Tate Chesapeake Hospice House in Linthicum, MD, after a ten month illness due to pancreatic cancer.

She was born July 6, 1953 in Granite City , Illinois , and was raised in a Navy family and resided in various places in the United States and Europe .

Mrs. Stinus worked as a bank teller for the Navy Federal Credit Union.

She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and taking care of her home and family.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Michael P. Stinus of Arnold , MD ; daughter, Kristin R. Stinus of Annapolis , MD ; and brother, Marvin Boundy of Kilmarnock , VA.

A memorial service will be held at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home , 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park on Sunday, November 30 at 1:00 PM.

Interment will be private.
