Matthew A. Naylor, 40, a lifelong resident of Arnold, died at his home on December 28, 2011 from cancer.
Matthew was born to his parents, Robert David Naylor and Jo-Ann Bringhurst Naylor, on January 24, 1971 in Washington D.C. He graduated from Broadneck High School in 1989 and then went on to receive his Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Business Management from Utah Valley State College in 1996. He was employed as an auditor and regulator for the National Credit Union Administration for the past 13 years. Matthew was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He loved boating, water skiing, home improvements and most of all; he enjoyed spending time with his sons and family.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Naylor (nee: Williams); his two sons, Shawn David Naylor and Ethan Allen Naylor; his parents, Robert David Naylor and Jo-Ann Bringhurst Naylor; his brother Bryan David Naylor of Edgewater, MD; his sisters, Angela Christine Hermanson of Red Buff, California, and Kimberly Ann Pechin of Arnold, MD.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. A funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1875 Ritchie Hwy Annapolis, Maryland 21401. Interment will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, Maryland 21401.
