Matthew William Murphy, beloved son of Monica and Douglas Murphy, loving brother of Patrick, left this Earth on April 22, 2018.

Matthew was born in Annapolis, Maryland on August 17, 2005.  He was a 7 ^th grader at Magothy River Middle School.  He loved video games, going to the beach, visiting West Virginia, spending time with both of his extended families, and especially being with his brother.

The families moved to Bay Hills in Arnold, Maryland in 2017.  Matt and Pat quickly gained a large group of wonderful friends.  The boys began a thriving business of golf ball reclamation.

Matthew is survived by his devoted mother and father, Monica and Douglas and younger brother Patrick, all from Arnold, MD; grandparents, Theresa and Frank Bucalo, of Severna Park, MD and Bonita Springs, FL; grandfather, William Murphy III of Arnold, MD; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, April 26 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy.  A viewing for family and close friends will take place on Friday, April 27 at 11:00 am followed by a 12:00pm service at the funeral home. The interment will be immediately following the service at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD.
