Mary Lillian Weston, 91, formerly of Severna Park, died of natural causes at her daughter's home in Woodbine, MD on February 17, 2009.

She was born Mary Lillian Rogers on August 17, 1917 in Baltimore, MD to her parents Williard Stump Rogers and Mary Priscilla Rogers. She resided in Baltimore and later moved to the Linstead Community in Severna Park and the Broadwater Community in Arnold, MD, living in the area for over 20 years.

Mrs. Weston was a very active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Baltimore, MD. She taught adult Sunday School for over 40 years at various churches throughout her community. Mrs. Weston was also a member of the Cattail River Club and volunteered her time and effort to the Meals-On-Wheels program, as well as, numerous shelters for abused women. She assisted her family in raising three Hispanic boys in the area, creating an extended family. She taught many friends and family members how to drive an automobile.

Mrs. Weston traveled throughout most of the world, having been a member of the Loners on Wheels Club. She loved and protected animals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Benjamin Weston, Esquire, who died in 1980. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Phyllis Weston of Woodbine, MD and her son, Kendall B. Weston of Mount Dora, FL; her brother, Donald Rogers of Arbutus, MD; three grandchildren, numerous great grand children, and two nieces.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 10:30 am at ST. PAUL'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH 16459 Old Frederick Road Mount Airy, MD 21771. A 2:00 pm graveside service will be held in Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mission and Outreach of St. Paul's Episocpal Church or to the Gilchrist Hospice Care 11311 McCormick Road, Suite 350 Hunt Valley, MD 21031. Arrangements are by the BARRANCO & SONS, P.A. SEVERNA PARK FUNERAL HOME.
