Mary H. Stockard, 94, died on April 21, 2012.
She was born April 20, 1918, in Bucyrus, OH where she was raised and went to school. Moving to Washington, DC, District Heights, MD, Upper Marlboro and some time in Silver Spring, MD. Mary graduated from nursing school and later work at Washington Adventist Hospital, Leland Memorial and then for Dr. Lowrey.
In Mary's free time she enjoyed knitting, reading, shopping, TV, gardening, people watching and like to spend time on the beach. Her family likes to remember her as a loving wife, wonderful mother and superb hostess.
She is preceded in death by her husband Henry P. Stockard; brother Alvin Herman and sisters Ruth Redman and Dorothy Krajovic.
Survived by her daughters Susan L. Cochrane (Rick) of Millersville, Jane LaRose (Ed) of Tampa, FL. Grandmother of Jason Cochrane of Millersville, Sherri Troup (Brandt) of Chestertown, MD, Heather Buckley (Andy) of Laurel, Adam Cochrane of Millersville, Chris LaRose of Tampa, Katie LaRose of Tampa and Geoff LaRose of Tampa. Great Grandmother of 5.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 4-7 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. MD 21146. Services will be held at 10:00am on Monday April 23, 2012 in the Funeral Home. Interment will be private at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, MD
