Mary Jane Smith, age 96, formerly a resident of Severna Park for over 40 years, passed away peacefully at Genesis Village in Toledo, OH, with her loving daughter Anita and Hospice by her side.  She was born on December 31, 1924 in Sant'Eusanio Del Sangro, Italy to Giuseppi and Fiorella ( D'Angelo) DiGiacomo.  Mary was a woman of great faith and was a longtime member of St. John the Evangelist Church. She loved collecting unusual imported knick knacks, music, crafts, card games, and was often a WII Bowling champion.

She was predeceased by her husband Paul C. Smith, her sister Anna Eckels, her brothers Nicholas DiGiacomo and Charles DiGiacomo. Mary is survived by her son, Howard (Theresa) Smith; daughter, Anita (Shelia Stewart) Smith; grandchildren, Amanda Smith and Stephanie (Lisa) Smith along with many other close family members and friends.
