Mary Patricia Ruck passed away October 3, 2022, in her home, surrounded by her family. Patricia "Pat" was born May 31, 1941 in Baltimore, MD and lived a life full of love. She is survived by her loving husband John Francis Ruck, of almost 57 wonderful years, her three adoring daughters, Jenni Biondi (Chris), Kathleen Beachley (John), and Amy Hodkinson (Dan); her four grandchildren, Liz Bauer, Jack and Matthew Beachley and Luke Hodkinson; her two great grandsons, Jordan and Hendrix Lewis, and her two sisters, Sheila Arlang and Suellen Carter.

Patricia devoted her life to her family. Anyone who knew her children, knew what an incredibly special mother she was and that she meant the world to them. She cared deeply for and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Patricia grew up in Baltimore, MD, but spent most of her life near the Chesapeake Bay, in Annapolis. She shared a love for the outdoors with her husband and children, and her life was full of camping, biking, crabbing and boating adventures. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and baked amazing apple pies.

She put her heart into all she did. She loved her job as an ESOL teacher, and like in everything she did, she taught her students with patience, organization and inspiration. Patricia had a strong faith, and was very active in her Church, Saint Andrew by the Bay, spending countless hours volunteering, helping others, and organizing meals for the Lighthouse Shelter for the homeless. She was the perfect example of kindness, selflessness and pure goodness. She touched so many lives with her beautiful smile, positive spirit and giving heart, and brought the best out in everyone. She will be forever missed.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 5-7pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. The funeral mass will be held the following day, Friday, October 7, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church, 701 College Pkwy, Annapolis, MD 21409. The interment will follow at Broad Creek Cemetery, 370 Romancoke Road, Stevensville, MD 21666.

In lieu of flowers, you may choose to make a donation written to Saint Vincent de Paul Society, an organization that helps the poor which Patricia supported throughout her life. Those donations may be mailed to St. Andrew by the Bay, 701 College Pkwy, Annapolis, MD 21409.
