Mary Isabel (Libbey) McLaughlin, 88, a resident of Annapolis, passed away on April 29, 2017 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Annapolis.

She was born on July 7, 1928 to Charles and Maude Martin Libbey in Bangor, Maine and attended St. Vincent's Academy in Shreveport, LA and graduated in 1945.

Mary belonged to the Arnold Senior Center, before she took ill, which she enjoyed very much. Mary enjoyed needlepoint, reading, but most of all dancing with her husband Mac, the love of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis "Mac" C. McLaughlin and her son, Robert McLaughlin.

She is survived by her children, Deborah J. Price of Davidsonville, David McLaughlin of Montana, James McLaughlin of Arnold, Richard McLaughlin of Annapolis, Catherine Grobani of Annapolis, Thomas McLaughlin of Liverpool, NY and Rev. John McLaughlin of North Carolina; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; one brother, Frank Libbey of Silver Springs; two sisters-in-law, Betty Libbey of Scottsdale, AR and sister-in-law, Betty Donnelly of MA; and two brothers-in-law, Tom and Bob Atkins, both of Maine.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 2-4 PM at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, in Severna Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 10 AM in St. Andrew by the Bay Church, 701 College Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21409. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery in Annapolis.
