Mary Elizabeth McKenzie (nee Robertson), 92, passed away on November 25, 2010 after 11 days as a result of a fall.
She was born October 21, 1918 in Chambersburg, PA, where she was raised, and graduated from Chambersburg High School in 1937. She married Paul Frederick McKenzie in 1939 in Winchester, VA and has been a longtime resident of Arnold since 1964.
Mary loved nature, gardening, walking, bird watching, golf, making cards and note paper from pressed flowers, cooking and canning, and spending time with family.
Mary in her own quiet way did the Lords work and set a fine example for all to follow. She will be missed dearly by many friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Frederick McKenzie, who passed away in 2000; her parents, Bruce Alexander Robertson and Carrie E. Robertson; and sisters and brothers, Helen Heckman, John Robertson, Ruth Cliber, and Bruce Alexander Robertson, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Theodore Richard McKenzie of Wayne, PA, Michael Bruce McKenzie of Preston, MD and Paul David McKenzie of Plymouth Meeting, PA. Mary leaves behind 10 grand children and 15 great grand children.
A Memorial Service will be held at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 400 Benfield Road, Severna Park, MD on Saturday, December 18th at 11 AM.
