Mary Martinez, 80, of Severna Park, MD, died on June 8, 2009 at home, after an 8 month illness of cancer.
She was born on June 10, 1928 in Weirton, WV, where she was raised. She moved to Anne Arundel County forty years ago.
Mrs. Martinez was a homemaker. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, and loved animals.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Severna Park, MD.
She is survived by her husband, Horace P. Martinez of Severna Park, MD; two sons, Michael P. Martinez of Crofton, MD and Fernando F. Martinez of Severna Park, MD; one daughter, Michelle L. Giordano of Severna Park, MD; and one granddaughter, Rachel E. Giordano.
Services and interment will be private. Arrangements made by Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the SPCA, 1815 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403.
