Meg Peterson passed peacefully on March 20, 2021, at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, MD.  Meg was born in New Bedford, MA on November 10, 1940 to John Valentine and Mary Catherine Donnelly.  She was a proud graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River, Massachusetts.  After high school Meg matriculated at Fitchburg State College and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.  She first worked as a registered nurse in New Jersey and then for many years as a recovery room nurse at Anne Arundel General Hospital.

A longtime resident of Cape St. Claire, Meg was beloved by all who met her for her outgoing personality and quick wit.  She was truly a one-of-a-kind character whose passing has left a large hole in the lives of her loved ones and everyone that knew her.

Meg was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Harry Peterson, and by her brother John V.  Donnelly Jr.  She is survived by her four siblings Patricia Callan (Arthur), Ellen Hardgrave, Anne Donnelly and Tom Donnelly (Pat), her children Sue Chittim (Ron) and Sam Peterson (Karen), and her beloved grandchildren Kyle Chittim, Samantha Chittim, and Taggert Peterson as well as many nieces and nephews.  Her family and friends will miss her forever.

Meg will be laid to rest during a private service at the Veteran's Cemetery in Crownsville, Md.  A celebration of life will be held at the Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. on June 10, 2021.  Visitation will be from 1pm-3pm and a service to celebrate her life will begin at 3pm.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake; https://www.hospicechesapeake.org/giving/donate-now/ .

Coronavirus Restrictions:

5/15/2021:  per the State of Maryland and Anne Arundel County:  Masks are not required if you have been fully vaccinated for Covid-19.  Anyone that has not been fully vaccinated must continue to wear masks indoors.  Masks must cover both the nose and mouth.  Please be aware that Churches and Cemeteries may require masks or have other restrictions in place.
