Mary Claire Lund, 72, a resident of Severna Park, died on March 11, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital after a brief illness.

Mary was born to her parents, Mary and Robert Kastner on August 31, 1943 in Baltimore, where she was raised. She graduated from the IND in 1961 and was employed as an office manager with Hord, Coplan and Macht Architecture Firm, where she retired. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading and watching plays. She loved birds and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Lund is survived by her husband of 54 years, Joseph C. Lund, Sr.; her son, Joseph C. Lund, Jr. (Sue); her daughter, Elizabeth A. DiPietro (Philip); her sisters, Barbara Dewart (Richard), Kathleen Tollenger (Barry), Margaret Bell (David); and her grandchildren, Brittany Lund, Kelly Lund, Anna DiPietro and Joseph DiPietro. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, March 13th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Daily Bread.
