Mary Ellen Loock, 82, of Millersville, passed on February 18, 2022. Mary Ellen was born to her parents Creston Lyle Cathcart and Rose Marie (Lednum) Cathcart on July 9, 1939 in Baltimore. She attended Forest Park High School. She married the late Robert Russell Loock and moved to Millersville to live on the Severn River for over 57 years. She had many friends in the community. She was active in her Church, Severna Park United Methodist for over 50 years. Mary Ellen worked at Crofton Elementary for several years and later worked at the family business, R.J. Loock Auto Parts. She loved the local sports teams, a big fan of the Orioles, Colts, and Ravens. She was known for her wonderful smile that always made those around her feel welcome.

She is survived by her brother Creston Cathcart (Carol). Her children Robert Bruce Loock (Victoria), Russell Lyle Loock (Kimberly), and her daughter Wendy Carol Loock; her grandchildren, Mathew, Megan, and Kaitlin.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, February 25 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 26 at Severna Park United Methodist Church at 12:00pm. Interment will follow the service at Lakemount Memorials Gardens in Davidsonville. There will be a celebration of life get together afterwards.

Mary Ellen loved sunflowers and the family welcomes any flower arrangements that includes them.
