Mary Margaret LaVoie, 84, a two-year resident of Durham, N.C., and formerly of Cape St. Claire since 1959, died of natural causes Oct. 19 at The Forest at Duke retirement community.
Mrs. LaVoie was born Jan. 29, 1922, and reared in Monongah, W.Va. She attended West Virginia Business College for two years.
She retired in 1987 from the Maryland Court of Appeals, where she was a clerk. Her interests included gardening. She was a member of St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church.
In 1943 she married Roland LaVoie who died in 1990. Surviving is one sister, Rose Lico of Roseville, Mich.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, where services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
