Mary Ann Hildebrand, 77, a resident of Arnold, died on Friday, July 23, 2010 at her home, after a brief illness of lung cancer.

She was born on November 10, 1932 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she was raised, and previously lived in Falls Church, VA, before residing in Arnold.

As a young lady, Mrs. Hildebrand attended the University of Minnesota. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. Later in life she was a volunteer for Multiple Sclerosis Society. She had many friends and touched many lives. She loved animals and a good book. She had a warm heart and was always practical and never selfish. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her late mother and father, Ellen and Dana Utton. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Richard G. Hildebrand of Arnold, three sons, William J. Hildebrand, of Minnesota, Richard J. Hildebrand of Davidsonville, John A. Hildebrand of Hampstead; brother William Utton of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for her immediate family will be held at 10am on Friday July 30, 2010 at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, 21146. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of AA County, 1815 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403 or/and the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
