Mary A. Henstrand, 80, a long time resident of Severna Park, died on August 23, 2014, at her home, after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 5, 1934 in Annapolis, MD and graduated from Point Loma High School in San Diego, CA in 1952.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Milo E. Henstrand, Jr. of Severna Park; her children, Teresa Hoke of Tampa FL, and Robert and James Henstrand, both of Severna Park; her sister, Jean Wallace of Pensacola, FL, grandchildren, Maryjean Hoke Kopakin, and Jack, Anna, Zachary, and Gabriel Henstrand; and one great granddaughter, Avery Caroline Kopakin.

Her # 1 interest was her family and friends. Mary enjoyed being a member of the Chartwell Country Club and, during her long life she enjoyed duckpin bowling, playing bridge, knitting, tennis, golf, and was a member of book clubs. She also enjoyed theatre, dining out, cooking for her family and friends and doing volunteer work.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Fields, 1070 Cecil Avenue, in Millersville on Thursday, August 28, 2014. Interment will follow in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
