Mary Hartman Guilday is native to Ellicott City, MD, where she and her family lived and prospered.  Mary worked for the Department of Defense for close to 40 years and had many positions that many women were not privy to in that day and age.  Mom was the boss and a good negotiator, whereas my father was the artist and disciplinarian.   DOD sent Mary and her family to live in the state of Hawaii for four years, she returned to Annapolis, MD to further her daughters' education.  She was a member of the Ladies of the Elks and a life-long Catholic.  Her hobbies include negotiating and real estate.  She is survived by Jennifer Guilday, daughter, and Tara Detchemendy, daughter, married to Paul Detchemendy, and grandchildren, Isabella Detchemendy and Auden Detchemendy. Mary is preceeded in death by her husband, Peter Guilday.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 4-8pm at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 10am in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment will be private.
