Mary Elizabeth Connolly of Severna Park, MD, better known as Molly Connolly, passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on November 2, 2022 after a brief battle with brain cancer.

The daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie Clark, Molly was born on April 6, 1952 in Charleston, West Virginia but grew up in Tarrytown, New York. After attending Sleepy Hollow High School in Tarrytown, Molly graduated from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. In the years following college Molly lived in Washington D.C and worked on the hill where she made life-long friends and worked for notable senators like Hamilton Fish IV and Claude Pepper. She met her husband, Tim, in the summer of 1978 in Dewey Beach, Delaware. They were married in the fall of 1980 and relocated to Severna Park, Maryland. Molly took a break from "office life" to raise her two boys before starting an 18 year long career she adored with the Anne Arundel County School Board.

Molly loved the Severna Park community, she spent almost every morning at the Severna Park Racquetball Club with her "gym buddies" and many evenings with friends at Chartwell Country Club. She loved quiet nights at the family's home with a glass of wine and a good book, just as much as she loved entertaining family and friends with a smile on her face and a story about how she finally beat Big Tim in Scrabble. During the summer, Molly would get away to spend a week with her oldest friends, "The Saving Graces" in Rehoboth Beach, DE.

Molly was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, aunt, co-worker and neighbor. Her greatest love was for her family and friends, but especially her husband Tim. Their love and patience for one another is a model to all who knew and loved them. Known by her grandchildren as 'Nana', Molly adored spending time with them, reading them countless books and always making them feel special and loved.

The Connolly Family is blessed to have spent so many great years with Molly and will cherish them forever. Molly is survived by her loving husband, Tim; son, Timmy (38) and wife, Kaitlyn (35), of Kensington, MD; son, Patrick (35) and wife, Duan (33), of Centreville, MD; sister, Cathy, of Palm Coast, FL; and her two grandchildren, TJ (5) and Flynn (3).

A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Thursday November 10, 2022 at 11:00am at St John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church 689 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146.
