Mary Anfanette DeRose, 77, of Annapolis, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on October 8, 2014, at Assisted Living Well Compassionate Care after a prolonged illness.

Mary was born on May 15, 1937 and grew up in Frederick, Maryland. She enjoyed volunteering time to charitable organizations such as AAMC and the Providence Center. Mary took great pleasure in sewing, baking, growing flowers, watching, and feeding birds. Our mother will be remembered for being a caring and compassionate person who loved to help and do for others. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and the time she spent with them. Mary's abundance of generosity lives on through the people she touched and the lives she forever changed.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Charles R. DeRose, her brothers, Roy E. Baker Jr., and Joseph D. Baker, and her father Roy E. Baker Sr . She is survived by her mother, Thelma L. Baker; her daughters, Jennifer DeRose-Bargar and Michelle L. Reeves; son-in-law, Joseph A. Bargar Jr.; and two grandchildren, Charli A. Reeves and Harry J. Reeves IV.

To celebrate Mary's life, the family will receive visitors on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m., with a funeral service following at Noon at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146.
