Mary (DeLorenzo) Dankmeyer died at home of natural causes on December 31, 2024.

Mary was born on December 9, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from Deer Park High School, NY in 1964, and from St. Elizabeth's College of NY in 1966. She worked for Bloomingdale's Department store in Manhattan as a buyer, then taught elementary school at St Clement's School in Lansdowne MD, and as an administrator at Dankmeyer Inc of Maryland for over 30 years. Mary enjoyed sailing and was known for her commitment to improving the environment of the Chesapeake Bay.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Dankmeyer, her brother, Joseph DeLorenzo, and her nephews Mauro, Daniel, and Christopher DeLorenzo.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Chesapeake Conservancy of Annapolis, MD.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday January 5, 2025 from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care,P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146.
