Mary E. Cooke, 97, a resident of Severna Park, died on March 6, 2011 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie.
She was born on June 25, 1913, in Midway, PA.
Mrs. Cooke owned a Dairy Queen in Glen Burnie until 1976 when she and her husband retired.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William E. Cooke, Jr., who died in 1991; daughter, Joyce Cooke Fauber; brother, Frank Widic, Sr. and sisters, Louise Cooke and Florence Parker.
Survivors include her sister, Norma Carlson (Elliot) of Silver Spring; niece, Mary K. Widic of Crofton; nephew, Frank Widic (Maureen) of Fredericksburg, VA; and neighbor, Leonard Precht (Christine) of Severna Park.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 12:00 pm -1:00 pm, with a service following the visitation at 1:00 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. Interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 7606 Quarterfield Road, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
