Mary V. Braun, (Nee: Koors), 80, died on August 26, 2009 at her home in Arnold, MD. One of nine children, she was born on December 16, 1928 in Baltimore, MD, where she was also raised. She attended St. Burns Catholic Schools and later worked as a candy striper at Union Memorial Hospital, as well as, a waitress at Spitles Half Shell in Glen Burnie, MD.

She married World War II veteran, Paul F. Braun in 1949. They moved to Arnold in 1969, where she has resided ever since. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Braun was preceded in death by her husband, Paul F. Braun who died on April 27, 1996; her daughter, Rhonda Ann Murtha; her sons, Gregory Michael Braun and Christopher Braun; her brothers Robert and Bill Koors; and her sister, Vicky Koors. She is survived by three children, Paul Furdinand Braun of French Settlement, LA, Mary Lynn Quinn of Stevensville, MD and Michael David of Arnold, MD; her sisters, Rhona Bowen, Arline Rueter and Judith White all of the Baltimore area; her brothers, Richard Koors of Baltimore, MD and Jeff Koors of Stewartstown, PA; as well as, twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A chapel service will be held at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD on Monday, August 31, 2009 at 11:30am.
