Mary Ellen Bradford, 73, of Severna Park, died Saturday, August 13, 2011. She was born in Baltimore on September 10, 1927, daughter of Katherine and Preston Witter.
A devoted mother, she raised four children. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, and camping. Mary had a gift for music and taught herself the piano. She sang in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church choir. She was predeceased by her husband Charles H. Bradford and was survived by her sister Dorothy Johnson, her brother Frederick Witter, her sons William M. Hugel, Charles Bradford, her daughters Ellen McMann and Joan Bradford, grandchildren Kelly McMann and Matthew Hugel, and great-grand children Marie York and Henry York, and her loving caregiver Ms. Agnes Simpson. Services will be held at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park at 10 am, Wednesday, August 17th. Interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bello Machre, 7765 Freetown Rd., Glen Burnie, Md. 21060 in honor of her son, Charles Bradford.
