Mary Fiori Barker
Mary Fiori Barker, 88, of Severna Park, died of heart failure April 11 at Heartlands of Severna Park.
Mrs. Barker was born in Genoa, Italy, and came to Baltimore at the age of 4. In 1941, the former Mary Fiori Garbero married Harry Edward Barker, who died in 2002. The couple lived in Washington, D.C., until they moved to Silver Spring in 1946.
From 1975 until 2003, Mrs. Barker lived in the Leisure World Community in Silver Spring.
Surviving are her daughter, Diana Valente of Arnold, and two granddaughters.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park. Burial will be in Deer Creek Harmony Church Cemetery in Darlington.
Contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 8424 Veterans Highway, Millersville, MD 21108.
