Martin N. Beynon, “Tom”, a resident of Millersville, passed away on May 17th, 2026, at home, surrounded by family, at the age of 98.Tom was born on September 12, 1927, to Martin Beynon and Esther Beynon (nee Newcomer) on Ivanhoe Ave. in Govans, one of seven children, and raised in Howard Park. Tom attended Polytechnic High School and enlisted in the Marine Corps in April, 1945, at the age of 17, and was discharged in September, 1946. Tom attended the Baltimore College of Commerce to obtain his accounting degree and retired in 2017 at the age of 90.
Tom enjoyed golf, his garden, the Eastern Shore, and above all else his family, donuts and ice cream.
Tom is survived by his siblings John T (Robin) and Edward (Sandy) and his three children Christine (Armando) of Millersville, Craig (Beth) of Palm Beach Gardens, and Mark (Lillian) of Catonsville. Tom was deeply committed and involved in the lives of his five grandchildren Jennifer Ryan (Pat); Adam (Kaycie), Laura (Colin), Leigh (Eric) and Brandon and nine great grandchildren Morgan (Joey), Tucker (Sarah), Jack, David, Abigal, Aubrey, Cameron, Sloane and Lucie, as well as a lifetime of extended family and friends.
Tom’s legacy of strength, hard work, generosity, Tomtom-isms, and selfless love will live on in all the lives he touched in his amazing 98 years.
Tom’s Celebration of His Life will be announced at a later date.
