Mark P. Saperstein, 71, husband of Sheila Saperstein (Farrell) of Arnold, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018, at the Hospice of the Chesapeake. Born September 1, 1947, in Queens, New York, he was the son of the late Milton and Bessie Saperstein (Canter). Mark was raised in Union, New Jersey, where he graduated from Union High School. He attended Husson University before transferring to Strayer University. While at Strayer University, Mark was a member of Sigma Delta Epsilon fraternity. Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management. Mark worked at George Washington University Medical Center for many years as the manager of the linen department then as the administrative manager of the department of psychiatry. He then served as the director to several adult day care centers. In his retirement, Mark enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Yankees and Redskins fan. He is survived by his wife Sheila, his sons Michael of Arnold, MD and Brian and his wife, Melissa (Hewitt), of Grasonville, MD, his daughters Elizabeth of Annapolis, MD and Megan of Annapolis, MD. He is also survived by his two grandsons Sean of Arnold, MD and Logan of Grasonville, MD.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 3:00-5:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM at Barranco and Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Temple Beth Shalom, 1461 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, Arnold, MD, 21012. Reception to follow.
