Mark Andrew Facciani, 56, of Pasadena, passed away at his home on December 16, 2024.

Mark was born on April 4, 1968 in Windber, PA to Joseph and Nancy Facciani. He was raised in Beaverdale, PA and graduated from Forest Hill High School, where he excelled in academics and football, supporting the Rangers as a linebacker and guard. Mark attended Towson State University on a full scholarship where he also played football as linebacker and a member of the 1986 Towson Tigers who won the Lambert Cup, making the playoffs and subsequently placed in the TSU Hall of Fame. He earned a bachelor's degree and became very successful in the many sales positions he held, most notably as Senior Vice President for Mid-Atlantic Sales with Affordable Interior Solutions (AIS), where he was employed for 15 years.

Above all his achievements and successes, Mark considered his greatest accomplishment to be his family, whom he cherished and loved. He fathered two amazing children, Amanda and Bryan, whom he adored and was so very proud of the successful and resilient adults they have become. In 2004, Mark met the love of his life, Donna, who shared his passion for family, friends, and love of life and sports.

As an accomplished Ironman, Mark completed nine races in the US and Canada with many friends he developed over the years. He excelled in cycling and often spent his weekends training, with long distance rides with friends and challenging 20 mile runs before being sidelined by injuries in 2020. Mark loved cooking and sharing his culinary creations with his family. When not in training or spending time at the gym, he could often be found enjoying the solitude of fishing from his pier, a sport he learned from his father and cherished.

In both his professional career and competing athletically, Mark never met a person who did not instantly become a friend. He was loved by all and never forgot his humble beginnings, donating often to the Capital Food Bank and personally delivering clothing to the homeless.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; his daughter, Amanda and son-in-law John Robert Reidell of Pasadena; his son, Bryan Facciani and his fiancé, Allison Phillips of Hanover; his sister, Lorie Shuster of McKinney, TX; his brother, David Facciani of Sidman, PA; and his beloved grandson, John Andrew Reidell of Pasadena.

A Celebration of Life gathering will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm at the Maryland Yacht Club,1500 Fairview Beach Rd, Pasadena, MD 21122.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish America, 1702 E. Highland Ave., Suite 400 Phoenix, AZ 85016.
